For a decade I built the systems that turn fiscal complexity into decisions leaders can act on. At the Kansas Legislative Research Department I led a 15-person team, designed the Legislature's first enterprise budget intelligence platform (now used by 165+ legislators, staff, and analysts), and held high forecast accuracy on a $25+ billion state budget through multiple leadership transitions and a pandemic. Whether testifying before committees or coordinating across 90+ agencies, the work was the same: making multi-billion-dollar fiscal data legible to people who had to act on it. My wife is on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, and Cleveland is home.
